John Bradford (1510 - 1555) was an English Protestant Reformer best remembered for his utterance:
"There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford." At the time, Bradford was imprisoned in the Tower of London and saw another prisoner going to his execution. Bradford was eventually burned at the stake in June, 1555, during the reign of Queen Mary I -- a.k.a., "Bloody Mary".
